Getting to Vianden is simple with public transport:
- From Luxembourg City:Take a train from Luxembourg Gare Centrale to Ettelbruck (about 40 minutes), then transfer to bus 570 toward Vianden (another 30–40 minutes).
- Total travel time: Around 1.5 hours
- Cost: FREE – Public transport in Luxembourg is completely free for everyone since 2020!
You can also drive, which takes about 50 minutes from Luxembourg City. There’s paid parking available near the castle.

Vianden Castle: A Must-See Landmark

The main attraction is the breathtaking Vianden Castle (Château de Vianden). It was originally built between the 11th and 14th centuries and has been beautifully restored.
